marshmellows

Okay the theme is random right?
well I woke up this morning and I couldn't figure out what to blog about so i thought, "hmm, marshmallows!" So as reader's will see I  decided to stick with that thought.
All around the world, the effects of fall are becoming more and more apparent. The old people are raking leaves, the Pyros are lighting piles of them on fire, and the air and wind feel almost like a sharp blade to your nose or skin.
A little side comment, I have looked at my stats and see that some of my viewers are people from Africa, Egypt, Islam, and Afghanistan. These are warmer countries where the effects of fall arent so noticeable. What I am about to write about is something that pertains to these readers as well. So, please stick around because this is something that is for everyone.
Okay, back on the tracks. Well I came inside from raking leaves and was kinda cold. I was a little bit disappointed that my lighter had been out of juice and wouldn't set the pile of leaves that I had spent hours raking up, on fire.
Yes, readers it would be safe to say that I was thirsty for entertainment. While, I thought about how to quench my thirst for fun, I decided to make some hot chocolate.       What better way to warm up and quench your inner thirst then to drink a cup of rich-chocolatey goodness?
Out of politeness, I wish to stop writing and urge readers to maybe go and grab them a cup of Hot Chocolate. It's okay.
(Pause)
(Intermission)
Well whats the best thing to have with hot chocolate? If you guessed marshmallows, then you are correct.
I actually decided to have Smores. So I took the graham cracker and I broke it like this...
you get the picture.
So after i made my Smores I wanted to melt my chocolate bar in the microwave to give it a campfire affect.
I turned around to pour the boiling water on top of the powdered coco and when I turned around my eyes nearly popped out of my head. Instead of three medium size marshmallows, (the bite size ones, I was staring at three marshmallows about as big as a baked potato!
Quickly i opened up the microwave, afraid that they might explode. As soon as i did this however, those puff-balls began to deflate.
I put them in again and turned the microwave back on.
Yes, readers i was aware that my chocolate bar was plenty melted and looked by now as if it had been totally consumed by the flames. The marshmallows began to puff up again and i let them get even bigger.
I thought this was awesome! I was completely enthralled by the scientific effect on the marshmallows!
I kept this up for about twenty minutes and finally experimented with it. I did many things, like putting twelve in a bowl and seing how big they got, or putting them in for like five to ten minutes to see what they would do. This was so incredibly fun.
If readers find themselves lacking entertainment on a cold fall day, I urge them to try this!
Like I said earlier, this goes for all countries. As long as you have a microwave and a bag (or two) of marshmallows you can try this trick out.
Enjoy :)

I'm Afraid

I'm Afraid......
that i wont live forever.
I'm afraid......
that i'll be alone for the rest of my life.
I'm Afraid......
that you will spill all my secrets out.
I'm Afraid......
that the memory of you will be forgotten.
I'm Afraid......
for your soul.
I'm afraid of eternity.

Growing Up

Randomly written by Random-

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
Oh sweet childish innocence
salty tears in a hot chocolate cup
T-ball bats and
kites stuck in trees
Dependent on my snuggle bear
Kisses from mom and a wave goodbye
on a school bus ride to hell

First kiss under the schoolyard tree
notes passed in secrecy
Muddy shoes all over a bleach white floor
ripped shirts from climbing trees
baseball bats and
kites stuck in branches
Pokemon cards
and cracked compact discs

Algebra and leather footballs
Perky models with beach blonde hair
Rave pits and rock concerts
virginity lost beneath my bed
stories read and forgotten
cause I didn’t even care
“All niters” and caffeine drinks
 graduation caps and diplomas
And colleges by the sea

Blades

Randomly written by Random-

Oh blades of mine where have you been?
I feared, for so long, that I'd never see you again.

I lost you somewhere, along life's road,
But now you're back to help with my load.

My sadness and pain were not complete without you,
You helped me to cope, and control my thoughts too.

Though you and i have an invisible bond,
I keep you here with me through a mark on my arm.

I'll put you away now; where you will be safe,
And where I can find you, when I need relief.

Winning The War

Randomly written by Random-

Can a student survive college? College is a game of survival, and it can be a lot
like being a soldier trying to win a war. There are tests around every corner that are like
bombs ticking away and then defusing themselves or blowing up. Then there are the
assignments that all seem to come due at the same time and lay in waiting like land mines
for someone to turn one in late and explode into a bad grade. Worst of all are long
lectures to be endured from the teachers. They are like bullets hitting a soldier with both
useful and useless information. As the teacher talks, the student strives to write down the
coordinates as fast as he can before time runs out. However, college can be survived.
With some skill, good advice, a bit of strategy, and a lot of hard work, college can be less
like a battlefield and more like a means to an end.
When I first started college, I thought it was easy. Yeah that’s right, easy. It
seemed easy because the first few weeks of college were slow and laid back. I was not
prepared for the battle up ahead. I remember thinking that this was an easy way to claim
the title of college student. Then, out of nowhere, and all at once, my teachers seemed to
have declared war on me! Almost instantly I went from rest and relaxation to being
deployed into a stream of chaos like I had never seen before. For weeks and months now I
have fought the long, hard battle of keeping up with the platoon. At times it seems
endless. Time and time again I have been knocked off my feet from a bomb like
explosion of assignments and hit mercilessly with a Hell fire of bullet like tests and
quizzes. Besides the counseling of my parents, who are veterans of the wars before me,
I am learning some things on my own. I know that I can survive college, and that this
battle can be won if only I realize that procrastination and disorganization are the real
names of my enemy. Putting off tomorrow what I should have done today has caused
many a soldier before me to go missing in action. Also, not keeping my kit in order leaves
me unprepared for the battle ahead.
Procrastination is one of the most feared assassins out there. He lurks in the
shadows, creeping silently behind the unexpected victim, until he is completely
unaware of the danger. Then, procrastination leaps from behind and leaves the victim
weakened, but not yet dead. It has been hard for me, personally, to recover from my early
battle with procrastination. It left me weak and overwhelmed. It has taken me weeks of
drill with no furlow in sight to make up for those first few weeks of fun. I still fight the
battle of putting off what I should be doing right now. It is an on-going battle for me. One
of the best ways I’ve found to avoid procrastination is to be organized. Keeping my kit in
order is a defense against both procrastination and disorganization. In my kit I
keep several weapons to help ward off any of their attacks. I have learned that, to keep
procrastination at bay, I must keep a calendar and a schedule book. This helps me keep
track of all of my incoming tests and assignments. We also have a family calendar at
home that I put major assignments and important dates on. Also, I have one school
backpack and keep a pouch with all my pencils and pens and highlighter in it as well as
my books, folders, etc. Having all this in one bag reduces the time it usually takes me to
search for needed materials. I have also learned to have the right materials ready for each
class. For example, I sure don’t need a calculator for my English class. The folders in my
bag are labeled for each class so it is easy to keep papers organized in a place that I can
find them quickly. I clean out my backpack regularly so that I am mot carrying anything
unnecessary around. Having a ton of extra materials really weighs a soldier down so that
he is not able to fight the battle very well. Being organized is a big part of surviving
college.
It is best to start out a college tour of duty organized and ahead. This gives the
student leverage. There are several important strategies to help a college student survive
and reach the goal of graduation. Disorganization and procrastination are not the only
challenges that a student will face. College is hard work and very challenging. Students
must be willing to take advice and help from others to win this war. I know that I can
succeed in college. If we, as students, are willing to put in hard work, take good advice
and help, and learn new strategies, this war is already won!

Computer Shutdown

Randomly written by Random-

Something that i have been interested in lately and has seriously been drooling at the mouth over is computer programing. I'm really getting into the codes and how each one does a certain thing. My dream is to someday create my own computer system. I was trying to come up with a name, maybe i could mix my screen name with Microsoft. Random-soft. Randomly-soft. I could totally see it know. Two geeks walking into a computer store and asking the pimple-faced college student if the store carried the new Randomly-soft software. I don't think so. Oh well, Ive got a long time to think about the name. Any ways the main reason for this post is to tell you about a tiny little code that i learned. This code is a great thing to put on a computer of your friends or family. Definitely a funny prank. By the way, this is not harmless at all and causes absolutely no damage to computers. Here is how to use and save this code:

  • step one: right click on the desktop screen.
  • step two: select new-shortcut
  • step three: when the little screen and bar pop up type in the code. The code is (write this down exactly as i have it) shutdown -s -t 00
Just a little note: the -s stands for shutdown and the -t stands for time. You are able to alter the time from 0-500 seconds. If you want to add a comment to your little shutdown button then you can put -c space, then 'your comment'

  • step four: save it. when it asks you to name your file, you should name it something like Internet explorer or Randomwaves17.
  • step five: after you have saved your shortcut then you can right click it and select properties. when properties shows up there will be a button that says 'change icon' click it and select the best icon that fits your shortcut name.
Enjoy this and please don't have too much fun with it lol. If you readers have any questions feel free to comment. I will get back with you ASAP.

Nacomy's Poem

Hey readers this post is actually one from a blog called Nacomy's Romance Corner. It is actually really amazing so check it out. She writes some really good stuff. The link to her blog is: Nacomy's Romance Corner. Deffinetly be sure to follow her.
You say you love me
Do you really?
Actions speak louder than words
Yours say you don’t.

You claim to need me
If I were gone, would you miss me?
My company seems more of an annoyance
Is my character that much of a nuisance?

“I want you,” you say
Why do I not feel desire in your touch?
A lonely bed is my only companion,
Cold and unaffectionate.

Your eyes used to light up at the sight of me
Your body ready and responsive.
Now dead eyes greet me
As your body turns away.
Our conversations used to bring laughter to this cold apartment
Now there are only words left unsaid.

We used to love
We used to share.
Now passion is a distant memory
Will we ever again be as we were?
Only time will tell.

Another rumor?

Well readers, this is the day that we've all been anticipating. This is the day that Facebook will supposedly be shut down. I am sure that everyone has heard this rumor and probably think that its a hoax. Unfortunately it probably is a hoax. However, i really wish someone would shut down Facebook because i an so tired of hearing about it. I cant stand how Facebook is the only way that people seem to interact with each other. No i'm not getting old and/or brainwashed, just tired of all the drama. Another thing that i don't think everyone is aware of is that when someone sets up a Facebook, it saves their information forever. It doesn't matter if they've deleted their account, because they can retrieve their account back if they decide that they want it back. I really do hope that they shut it down. Just think if the government started getting interested in where people were and where they lived. I don't trust any government business because we cant trust them and know what they do with our information. I support any organization that even attempts to shut down such a vile website such as Facebook.
one thing though that i would like to say in closing here is that if someone is going to shutdown Facebook, they just need to get it done because I'm sure that you dear reader agree with me in saying that we are tired of the pussy-footing around. If someone is going to do it they just need to get it done.
